Product Safety & Proper Use – Fangz™ Mouthguards

At Fangz™, we design bold, fun mouthguards for young athletes. Because safety and transparency matter, this page explains exactly how to use our boil-and-bite mouthguards properly — and what they are not intended to do.

1. Product Classification

Fangz™ mouthguards are sold exclusively as recreational sports accessories.
They are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent, or reduce the risk of any injury or medical condition. No information on this website or in Fangz™ materials should be interpreted as medical or dental advice.

2. Proper Fitting Instructions

Fangz™ mouthguards are boil-and-bite and must be fitted exactly according to the provided instructions. Improper fitting may cause poor retention, discomfort, or reduced durability.

Important fitting guidelines:

  • Adult supervision is strongly recommended for athletes under 18.

  • Do not overheat the product or attempt to reshape it multiple times.

  • Do not chew, bite through, tear, or alter the mouthguard in any way.

  • Replace immediately if the mouthguard becomes damaged or deformed.

3. Not for Use With Braces

Fangz™ mouthguards are not designed for wear with orthodontic braces or dental appliances.
Wearing this product with braces may result in:

  • Improper fit

  • Damage to orthodontic hardware

  • Risk of the mouthguard becoming stuck or difficult to remove

Individuals with braces should use products specifically engineered for orthodontic protection.

4. No Guarantee of Injury Prevention

Sports involve unavoidable physical risks, including impacts, collisions, and falls.
While mouthguards can offer comfort and a barrier between teeth and soft tissues, no sports accessory can guarantee protection from injury.

Fangz™ makes no claims that our products:

  • Prevent dental injury

  • Reduce impact forces

  • Prevent concussions

  • Provide medical or dental protection

Participation in sports is inherently risky, and users assume those risks.

5. Inspection & Replacement

Before each use:

  • Inspect the mouthguard for tears, cracks, or deformities

  • Ensure a secure, comfortable fit

  • Replace at the first sign of excessive wear

For growing children, regular replacement may be required as dentition changes.

6. Consult a Professional if Necessary

If you have questions regarding:

  • Dental health

  • Orthodontics

  • Injury prevention

  • Suitability of this product

…please consult a licensed dentist, orthodontist, or medical professional.
